Have your name on the machine forever!
It is no secret that our chocolate has been selling out in minutes at every restock since May this year. We feel so incredibly lucky. Our product is truly a labor of love and takes so much time and skill to create. One thing that takes up around 5000-6000 hours of our time every single year is wrapping our delicious chocolate bars by hand.
This is exactly why we are raising money to go toward a wrapping machine! The wrapping machine we are getting is being built in the Netherlands especially for us . In total, it costs £160,000! I think you would agree, this is a very large cost for a small business that hand makes their products! We can currently wrap around 90 bars per hour, this machine wraps 25 bars every single minute. That means that it can have our entire week's production wrapped in 4 hours!
We have already secured the funding of £80,000 for the 50% deposit needed so building could start - so we're halfway there! But we need your help to go the rest of the way!
This machine will provide the potential to truly expand The Chocolate Smiths.
You are such a huge part of The Chocolate Smiths and to be able to look at the machine everyday and see the names of everyone who has helped raise money, will just be awesome!!!
Why this machine?
Believe it or not, many wrapping machines can not foil and wrap chocolate bars that are filled like ours, and that have ingredients sprinkled on the back. It will foil and wrap our mini bars and large bars, and even date code them! This means we can spend our time making chocolate, rather than wrapping it! With our current team, it means we can make an extra 1500 chocolate bars every week. That means our restocks can be almost twice as big. Once we have the wrapping machine, we will assess the demand again, and look to expand our team in the kitchen if we need to!
When will I receive my artwork?
You will receive your artwork no later than 31st Jan 2025! This will be a beautiful digital download that you can have printed and frame to take pride of place in your house! The exclusive artwork will include everybody's names that are on the wrapping machine.
The name that will be on the machine will be the name on the order placed
