Hot Weather

During hotter months, we add insulation to your order to prevent melting as much as we are able to and may choose to upgrade UK postage to 24hr tracked which is complimentary to you. We also add in ice packs for international orders. We may choose to delay sending your order if it is extremely hot and will communicate this via email to you as long as you have provided us with an email address on your order. 

Your order is also kept chilled until collection from our premises in our airconditioned room.

Dispatch time

We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible but please allow up to 10 - 12 working days during busy times for dispatch only (excluding weekends and bank holidays). We hand make everything here at The Chocolate Smiths and want to make sure you receive quality choccy! This excludes pre-orders.

We send everything 48hr Tracked Delivery with Royal Mail - UK only - £4.95 

With 48hr tracked delivery we are able to see exactly where your order is and you are able to see when it's going to be delivered. 48 hour tracked delivery is only an aim, as stated by Royal Mail and on a rare occasion your order may take longer to arrive with you. We are unable to claim for a lost parcel until 7 working days have passed from the date your order was posted. These instances are very rare though, and almost every parcel is delivered within 48 hours. 

Pre-order items

Shipping times apply to all products that do not state 'pre-order'. If a product you have ordered is a pre-order item, please refer to the individual product page or your confirmation email for turnaround times. Nothing else in your order will be posted until your pre-order item is ready to go.

International Shipping

We do ship outside of the UK as long as your order is under 2kg. Please allow up to 10-12 working days for your order to be dispatched. We send all international items tracked with Royal Mail. 

Orders outside of the UK may be subject to customs charges. Unfortunately these are the customer’s responsibility and not the sellers so we are unable to take on any charges placed on the goods.
